  14 October 2024

This study evaluates the perceived facilitators, barriers, and benefits of a commercial clinical decision support system (CDSS) implemented in a university hospital in France. A mixed-method approach was used, revealing technical, organizational, and human barriers and facilitators of CDSS implementation. Effective collaboration with IT teams was crucial for successful installation and configuration. The CDSS had to be well-designed, user-friendly, and provide benefits to AMS activities. The study highlights the value of the CDSS in supporting AMS activities and suggests potential improvements for other hospitals.
